Department head word

Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics, where we strive to provide advanced medical education and comprehensive clinical training covering all aspects of the specialty. In partnership with other clinical departments, we work to graduate physicians with advanced knowledge who are committed to addressing the healthcare needs of the Western Mountain region and its surrounding areas.

Description

The Faculty of Medicine in Zintan was established in the academic year 2015-2016, with the Department of Pediatrics being one of the most important departments in the clinical phase, alongside the Departments of Internal Medicine and Surgery.

The educational activities in the Pediatrics Department began in the academic year 2020-2021.

Pediatrics is taught during the third clinical phase in the fifth year, followed by a supplementary training period (internship), which includes two months of pediatrics training in one of the teaching hospitals. The Department of Pediatrics currently has three resident faculty members and five adjunct faculty members.

The department's teaching methods include lectures, discussion sessions, and clinical (practical) components. Examinations in Pediatrics are conducted in both theoretical and practical aspects, with first and second round exams.
